How do you beatmix brown eyed girl into dancing queen? '0)
Maybe offer it as a selling point, but don't make it the main selling point if you know what i mean?

It's a good trick if you can do it, especially as the first is about 150 BPM & the second is only about 100 BPM!

As some one who does beat mix I honestly believe that it makes a massive difference to the flow of a night, I get a lot of comments from bride and grooms about how their wedding was more of a club night than a disco.
Having said that I never sell the weddings on my (or my DJ's) ability to beat mix, at the enquiry stage I don't think it has really crossed many peoples minds.
Mixing does make the night much more enjoyable though, I mix anything from 60's all the way through to brand new stuff and am a massive fan of dropping in accapellas etc to make the night a bit more interesting.

Hi SP,
Plenty of Mobile Jocks are extremely competent at beatmixing and have been in the game alot longer than you or I (12 years personally)
I would say that a fair few DJ's that are now mobile have similar roots (Clubs/Pubs/Bars) me included.
I can beatmix with my eyes (and sometimes my ears!!!) closed, the reason it's not a USP for most is that there's really no need for it in a typical "mobile disco" environment.
It's sometimes a useful string to have on the bow. But IMO - It's all about Mic Work/Timing/Service.
Good Luck - If you really want to push the "mixed to perfection" aspect of your business you will need a few more years experience than the three you have.
Practice makes perfect!
P.S In this digital age with sync functions/beatmapping etc can you really add much value compared to the next man with your strategy?

I still enjoy working in a mix (without touching the platter!!!!) on a pair of 1210's today, cant beat it. The warmth and depth to the sound when playing vinyl on a good system....... Anyhow, I digress!
Nice to hear you've at least tried it Rob!
I agree with your post too
