Denon MC-6000 Sub Out?!
I've just hastily purchased a Denon MC-6000 for a very good price. I bought it to eventually replace my HD2500 and X900 Mixer.
I currently use the SUB OUT from the back of my x900 Mixer to a powered sub, but have just realised that the new MC-6000 doesn't have this output.
What do i need to do to get a new SUB OUT from the MC6000!?

Why do you need the sub out?

Just go out the MC6000, into the sub, out the sub and into your tops?

In a minute, I just know, I'm going to post " To connect a Sub to. "
I'm guessing that the scenario where this works is if you had a passive sub without a crossover fitted, and fed this from the mixer. I presume the sub out is aimed at simply boosting the bass, rather than splitting frequencies, like a crossover would.
I'm sure that Darren is thinking of Active subs, which are highly likely to already have the filter inside, and the option of feeding full range or hi only to the top cabs.

Same logic from Mark. Not all subs have filters though, especially if they're passive.

I use a HK Actor actor sub system, and passive EV tops via an Amp. I would simply plug the sub into the SUB OUT from the back of the mixer, and then the tops via the amp - would you suggest doing this a different way?

Just add the AMP to the equation

You can connect the HK subs to the booth output of the DN-MC6000 and your EV tops to the main output. Then you can manually adjust volume for subs through the volume for booth output, but bear in mind that this output is a full band output and without any low-pass filter in your subs you might get unpleasant mid level noise from your subs...
You might have to make or buy jack cables for the booth output.
The neat thing is that you can use the HI-filter in the boot section and take away the high band from the output.
