    Default White laser??

Ok I've seen red and green but but is there a laser lighting unit that produces white stars? or white dots similar to star cluster?

You'll never get a truly white laser. Why? Because each laser produces light of a specific wavelength (hence it's strength) and white light is a mix of the entire spectrum.

The nearest you'll get to white is an optical mix of the 7 primary colours but even then something like 99.99999% of the visible spectrum will be missing. A bit like mp3s missing the "stuff you can't normally hear".

Nice thought... but most unlikely with current tech.

Vectis you say with current tech, do you think it will ever be possible?

I beg to differ in terms of white lasers the technology id already here and has been for a while. As mentioned it is mad up of a mix of RGB but using high quality diodes and beam tables the white that can be produced is very vivid to the eye and looks good on camera.

We use such systems for our shows and and people often comment on how striking the white is.

It is a fine art to get it paletted and lined up to produce such results but is worth it.

However in terms of disco lasers and star cluster type effects which have a very low cost to produce and purchase it wont be there if ever due to whats involved in creating the palette and line up.
Unless someone creates a white laser which i cant see happening.

And I beg to differ again ... what you describe is several lasers with a combined output which fools the eye into "seeing" white light.

    Ah yes...

Or use an optikinetics solar with smoke and the star filter. That looks a lot like laser.
When the world ends , ill probably have to clean up the mess.
