i do alot of kids parties, anywhere in the gloucestershire area

have a dedicated setup just for kids parties, do about 6-7 a month
    www.kidsdisco.net

smoke, bubbles, free glowsticks and have loads of personalised stickers to give away

    have PLI and PAT
I used to work for HSBC, but i think my CRB has expired now, although never been asked for it, yet do alot of work for schools (they seem more concerned about PLI). Although i am never left alone with the children, so i guess that rules out the need for CRB so much

    Mr Bouncy Dancefloor,

If you undertake any booking in a school you must have a current valid CRB certificate regardless if there are adults present.

Not correct, unless they have changed it recently Garry?

It is up to the local authority and school whether they require it and also CRB (enhanced) is only required if you are in sole charge of children.

    Darren,

If I am wrong mate I stand corrected.

I have an enhanced CRB Certificate and have been asked for it by new schools.

    Apologies mate

Obviously we have to be careful about these kinds of things!

I have 2 x enhanced disclosures. One is an F.A. enhanced disclosure which I have as a children's football coach and the other is an enhanced disclosure for being a school governor.

Neither are transferable. Each one is just for the specific role and both mean I can be in sole charge of children.

I am pretty sure your statement is incorrect Garry, unless it has changed recently (last 6 months - year)
