Sorry how it reads.. I copied and pasted it directly on my phone...

He who pays the piper calls the tune.
Stick it in a playlist, rock up, press play, read a magazine or surf the web for a few hours, get paid, go home
(but keep a couple of bankers lined up on another deck for when the inevitable happens at around 10:00pm...)

I'm more of the 'what do I think of a DJ who allow themselves to get into this scenario' I'm afraid.
Unless you've had no interaction with the B&G at all I honestly can't imagine how anyone could end up with such a strict list with no prior warning. Have you met the couple, spoken on the phone, emailed etc?

It can and does happen, Martin. It's happened to us (only once in 15 years, but...), and you know we try and meet / communicate A LOT with our clients. It was never mentioned during the numerous conversations or meetings - even though we discussed the music in detail, and then they dropped a full playlist on us a couple of weeks before the wedding. I'm convinced they were keeping it to themselves because they thought we might not think it was the best idea!
In the end, we did persuade them to let us have leeway on the order though. (The song choices themselves weren't too bad at all, so it was something we could work with)

Once in 15 years isn't a bad track record And I've had near misses as well so I know it's something that can happen - but there seems to be quite a lot of 'strict' and 'un-payable' playlists mentioned on various forums quite regularly though.
