haha no problem Pete - it's only so we have a rough idea of how many people are turning up... Info will be posted on here as and when i have it as well so don't worry

BUT TO ALL THOSE LOOKING TO BRING THEIR SOUND SYSTEM

Can you email [email protected] with the system you will be bringing and a contact telephone number and Email address please.... No Playout will be needed (just your speakers and amps etc..) as we will have a central system that every system will play through on the day.

As i've had trouble tracking down all the email addresses so it will be easier that way!

Yeah you don't have to bring speakers to be able to get entry.

It's free for anyone to come along and have a listen to systems, see some great products and do a bit of networking with other dj's.

I hope he's not of a nervous disposition then, cos we're a daunting bunch of reprobates! Turn up mate, and make sure you say hello. We're generally a friendly lot, and last year was the first time I'd got to Coalville. I was struck by how relaxed the atmosphere was, and how little "willy waving" regarding the cost, quality or volume of the rigs took place. None. I vowed that I'd take one along this year.

And I've got to say again, it's great just to do that. It's another chance to put names to faces, listen to gear in a decent sized room, and if you can find a combination of what you want to hear in the room, subject to cabling and/or time constraints, folk will usually do a "pick'n'mix" of kit.

Well just over a week to go now until we liven up the Charnwood Arms - Really excited!!!

Had a job on in Derby the other day so after it went across to coalville to have a look and see about power, timings and all the usual bits and bobs for room hire and was like a little kid and all excited

I will be contacting all the guys and girls bringing speakers after the weekend with timings and all the information needed. If you do want to bring your PA System and it isn't already on the list please contact me ASAP - The day will be quite relaxed but you won't just be able to walk in with your system on the day if you haven't already been in contact as with the systems we already have and the times available it would just throw things into chaos!

Also Don't forget there will be a second hand selling area for anyone that's looking to get rid of any bits and bobs - so you may be able to grab a bargain or 2

For anyone looking to stay over and join us for a meal and beers after in the pub and then taxi on into town - rooms are available on site for £35 per room on the sunday or £45 per room on the saturday for those looking to travel up the night before.

OK Everyone looking to bring speakers should now have been emailed the setup details and times etc.

If you haven't got it check your spam bin and if you still can't find it - email me - [email protected]

Also for anyone looking to stop over the charnwood arms website http://www.goodnightinns.co.uk/book-...harnwood-arms/ and laterooms.com are doing rooms for £35.00 on the Saturday and £30 on the sunday which is cheaper than the room rate we were given. Having spoke to the hotel they advise anyone looking to book rooms to do so via their website UNTIL the price creaps back up above the £45 sat rate and £35 sunday rate that we have in place. IF the website is more than £45 sat and £35 sunday please contact the hotel direct and metion the AED Demo Day and you will get the cheaper rate.

Also more good news - for anyone that has ever wondered about Text to Screen systems and how they could be used at discos - Chris will be there with his setup to show people how it works and give more information.

    Another great reason to attend.

OK had a bit of an update and tidy of the facebook page but for those that aren't on facebook here's what's at the Coalville DJ Demo Day this Sunday (10th Feb)

Also if anyone on here is planning on attending and has a Bose L1 System can they get in contact as had a few people ask about them but they aren't on the list so far!

With regards to those looking to get cheaper hotel rooms you are better phoning the charnwood arms and quoting AED-DJShow2013 to get the rooms for £45 on the sat night and £35 on the sunday night as the rates have gone sky high because of all the interest in the rooms this week!!!

Anyway here is a confirmed list of everything on the day...

Come on folks, don't miss this. It promises to be a great one. People have started arriving already, I've been here since 4.30 to give me time to get all the cabs in. Be there or be unable to tell your kids" I saw Excalibur fall off a speaker stack sixteen feet high"
