Hi, i am trying to persuade my dad to come to this event, just to meet you guys and also to get a good look and idea of what other people do.
is it ok to turn up?
-
Yeah you don't have to bring speakers to be able to get entry.
It's free for anyone to come along and have a listen to systems, see some great products and do a bit of networking with other dj's.

I hope he's not of a nervous disposition then, cos we're a daunting bunch of reprobates! Turn up mate, and make sure you say hello. We're generally a friendly lot, and last year was the first time I'd got to Coalville. I was struck by how relaxed the atmosphere was, and how little "willy waving" regarding the cost, quality or volume of the rigs took place. None. I vowed that I'd take one along this year.

And I've got to say again, it's great just to do that. It's another chance to put names to faces, listen to gear in a decent sized room, and if you can find a combination of what you want to hear in the room, subject to cabling and/or time constraints, folk will usually do a "pick'n'mix" of kit.

OK Everyone looking to bring speakers should now have been emailed the setup details and times etc.
If you haven't got it check your spam bin and if you still can't find it - email me - [email protected]
Also for anyone looking to stop over the charnwood arms website http://www.goodnightinns.co.uk/book-...harnwood-arms/ and laterooms.com are doing rooms for £35.00 on the Saturday and £30 on the sunday which is cheaper than the room rate we were given. Having spoke to the hotel they advise anyone looking to book rooms to do so via their website UNTIL the price creaps back up above the £45 sat rate and £35 sunday rate that we have in place. IF the website is more than £45 sat and £35 sunday please contact the hotel direct and metion the AED Demo Day and you will get the cheaper rate.
Also more good news - for anyone that has ever wondered about Text to Screen systems and how they could be used at discos - Chris will be there with his setup to show people how it works and give more information.
Another great reason to attend.

Come on folks, don't miss this. It promises to be a great one. People have started arriving already, I've been here since 4.30 to give me time to get all the cabs in. Be there or be unable to tell your kids" I saw Excalibur fall off a speaker stack sixteen feet high"
