YES. i am very much interested in this also as a replacement for my GWDMX. i have messaged Mark Walsh who has it and he says it was the best iPad type controller he could find. There was a review of it in the last ProMobile. I am seeing him on Sunday so will ask him about it there and hope he is using it at the PM conference. There is another similar product as a blow out on Thomann also at the moment and a number of other similar products in development.

Good deal on a b stock cute here: http://www.thomann.de/gb/visual_prod...27_1#bewertung
The only main downfall i can think of is having to cart around a wireless router as well as that box. Ipads also run out of battery, so having something that kicks as a safeguard scene in if something goes wrong would be handy. Not having physical buttons would be difficult also, All i want is to fire off several banks of pre determined scenes. Having it on a mobile like this would be idea, which I think you can also do??

Did you get a chance to talk to Mark at all?
I don't know much about this but i've known Maarten the boss at visual productions for the best part of 15 years and his products have always been great and the service excellent. Im sure Cuety will be good!
Want me to point him here to answer any questions?

Hi All
my name is Paul and I work for Qeytek, the distributor for Visual Productions in the UK. The Cuety is a great little lighting controller, and with the Iphone remote, can be a great tool for any DJ.
If anybody has any questions on any of the visual productions range, (Cuety, Cuelux, and Cuelux- Pro) then feel free to drop me an email at [email protected]
yourdj, indeed, the router thing could be an issue to some, but have you tried using a cheap router in a very busy wifi area? this way, you can get a router that works best for your geographical location.
A dutch company packaged a cuety LPU 1 in a little case, making a very neat solution https://www.facebook.com/imagination...type=3&theater
(i hope the link works, if not go to here https://www.facebook.com/visualpr/ and scroll down a little to find it.
Chris, indeed, Maarten is a great guy, and does some fantastic little lighting control solutions.
No sorry I did not get round to it. He is usually pretty busy and preoccupied so I don't tend to bother him too much.
I was also aware that he needed to promote his loyal brands (especially ADJ) as they actually did a little presentation on it on stage.
I might just buy one and see how it goes, i am sure I can afford it LOL (Being a bit tighter this year). I think it would be worth it tbh and I trust Marks judgement. I just know that everyone is jumping on the bandwagon though so I am sure another brand will bring out a killer of a system soon!! The good thing about this though is its software based so like Serato you can update it. Its only when the hardware become superseded then you have to change.
Am i right in thinking that you also need a wireless router with the box as the ADJ one has it all built into a nice little box so its all in one?
i have all ADJ fixtures so am torn between their system and Cuety.

Thanks for that Paul I will look into all the options.
Its not such a problem really with the router issue as I work in and around the New Forest, so other than the venues wifi, there is not a lot else, if you are not counting peoples phones. Perhaps there might be a mini router might work? I went the GWDMX route as I wanted to not have a DMX system that added a lot of set up time, space behind the booth and distraction from the job at hand, which is Djing. All i have to do with the GWDMX is pull it out the box and press a button, so in essence its the ultimate controller, but it has its limitations, which for me, is not enough buttons & no master dimmer. The hardware is also glitchy, leading me to just leave it be and search for an alternative.
Would you unit work with something like this:

I dont see what it wouldn't. i use a a TP Link unit, like this, http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/d...TL-WR710N.html
as it is one less cable to loose when out on a demo, but what works best for you is ideal, but what with the spectrums being public domain, the ability to run a 5ghz router in the future could be useful. (something i believe the ADJ unit can't do.)

Thanks Paul, sorry missed you post last week.
i have another question. Will the iPhone remote work standalone with the unit, or do you need the iPad and iPhone.
Just having the iPhone, box and router would be ideal.
Lastly, is there a way to set a default scene son the lights in the event of a failure, such as the iPhone/ipad shutting down?
That TP link router was similar to the one I was just looking at so thats good.
The ADJ one has quite a nifty channel selection with the usage of each ones shown, so you can select a channel (out of about 15) not being used.
I am leaning more and more towards this product.
