Yep, but the previously-shielded and most vulnerable will be top of the list, so hopefully by spring it'll be down to the middle-aged slightly overweights meaning that society can start to open up again leaving the young, fit and healthies to complete the rollout.

    Hopefully.

Personally (apologies for the political tone) I reckon that as soon as Trump is finished off the Chinese will suddenly "find" the cure

Mod Note: Ooh, Martin. Sailing perilously close to the wind there, Sir .

Were I not now a pillar of the establishment ( stop laughing at the back! I said-ar, not-ock ) I might allude to a lovely conspiracy theory I saw, which lines up closely with Martin's suggestion. You might think that, but, in common with my old mate Sir Francis, " I couldn't possibly comment".

I don't care where it's come from, how it's cured or who by.....i've had enough of delivering bog rolls and pasta in bulk now. I just wanna go back to being nagged by Karen

I agree but at least there's a glimmer of light. People will want music when all the clubs and pubs have been destroyed. More private functions and corporate events. Maybe Winter weddings will become a thing!

....and in the news this morning. Vulnerable, health workers, care home workers and over 50's will be focused on first for vaccination, under 18's won't get it. (buried in this article)

I never get this - round here they already are. Before this all kicked off I had at last 2 weddings a month right through to March (including NYE).

Indeed, we got married on Monday 29th Dec 2014, very convenient as my wife was realistically limited to school holidays, it's quiet for work for me and potentially still left me free for a NYE gig if one came in, suited loads of guests really well as lots of people have the week between Christmas and NY off with not many commitments, suppliers loved it (I know the venue well enough that I think we were given a set of keys to load in at our leisure over the previous few days) and we were lucky enough to have a stunning crisp clear (but extremely cold) winter's day.

Yes I know many people want the dream of the summer wedding, marquee etc, but I wouldn't have wanted to feel like we were being churned through and it all felt far more relaxed than many weddings I've been involved with for work.

I think there will be an influx of 'wedding DJs' when things are relaxed, especialy as pubs will either not bother or will be driving down the price.

Then again, this may be balanced but the amount of true Wedding DJs who are considering packing in after the way we have been treated.

Already had several of those. I'm just letting them move now so long as the date's available - at least it's filling the 2022 diary up.
IF (and I think it's a big IF) some sort of normality returns next year, I'm sure i'll very quickly re-fill their original dates without too much problem.

I still have someone booked in for December this year!

Am wondering just how long they'll leave it before rescheduling...!
