One of the venues I'm booked for has said its not their job to police the rules. Talk about polar opposite attitudes.

Anyway, more speakers = less volume at any point in the room so their idea is a bit misguided. Also, 80db? Literally no point in you being there.

Seriously, Mr Javid says yes. Unequivocally.

( I'm not sure the man's really cut out for politics. )

I've said all along, the genie's out of the bottle. We've lost reverse gear now, the nearest we have is crawler gear. Steady as she goes, and as far as some customers are concerned, it's already a free for all. No matter what government says, ( many of ) the public are convinced it's all over, and will behave correspondingly. Whether that's right or wrong......................

That is the dark cloud we will have hanging over us for the next 12 months I think.

I know a lot of venues are not going ahead as normal with xmas parties etc, but who knows, still plenty of time for things to change and think if the cases do rise as predicted, but hospital cases remain low, we will be fine.

There's always time, and I think we will see a continuous adjustment for a long time.

And this is the crux of the race between the vaccine and the virus. People dying in large numbers in hospital beds is quite rightly unacceptable. People catching the virus in ( relatively ) large numbers, and either not going to hospital, or going to hospital, but not ICU is acceptable. The trick is to balance the equation.
