Good to meet you all. We've set up a marquee in our garden (6x15m) to use for home church and youth meetings.

We've got about 20 teenagers coming regularly so want to invest in the sound and lighting to create a great atmosphere.

I see you have a starcloth question elsewhere, so I reckon that's venue decoration taken care of, as long as you're handy with a soldering iron. For additional lighting, you wouldn't need to spend megabucks.

There's a huge selection of " Party Lights" here, ebay would also offer a wide choice. A couple of Jelly dome type lights, and a couple of pars would suffice, I'd say.

PA system, again you can get a very workable all-in-one rig nowadays. for less than £300 you get two radio mics, bluetooth and media player. Covers a lot of bases. Ebay 12" a bit cheaper.

For £300 I got a peavy mixer, Citronic PPX 300 amp, two Limit 200W speakers, T-Bar, 4 party lights, Twin radio mic kit with receiver box, leads, Wired microphone, Technics cd player. I already had an Audio Technica AT 120 TT, Numark TTUSB , and a Technics CD player.
