    Default Maestro DMX

Any opinions on the Maestro DMX ?

Must say expensive but I'm very tempted, love the plug-and-play idea.

Looked at it, and it appears to be a very good system looking at the comments on their FB group.

That said, I've now got SoundSwitch on a lifetime license and doing everything I want it to do. The BIG downer for me on the Maestro was the fact that you have to pay around £150 import duty on it

I photographed a wedding a few weeks back where the DJ was using this and it was pretty effective and gave him a lot of scope to fine tune the parameters around the show as well for specific events like the first dance.

The way it combined and used fixtures together to create effects was really slick, but I can't honestly say I saw a lot originality in what it did and it felt a little reptitive after a while. But then that's probably true of any lighting fixture and the vast majority of control systems.

Overall, didn't look bad. I can't say how easy it was to set up and use - I didn't get to experience that side of things.

The price is the only thing that's putting me off investing in one.

I've been aware of them since their earliest days on Kickstarter. Very effective & the options for fine-tuning it are immense.

Well I've taken the plunge , after a lot of research I decided to order from Thomman For £799.00 because even after getting a 10% discount code from the suppliers after paying import charges and delivery there was very little in the cost. I feel more comfortable dealing with Thomman for there customer service, haven't got a gig for a while for different reasons but I'm sure it will come into it's own at Christmas time.
