    Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a simple piece of accounting software to do the business accounts on?

No need to buy something specifically, just use Excel or a simple spread sheet.

I recently bought some pre organised Excel stuff from the Online Accountants on eBay for £6.99.

Good value and really easy to use and set up with unlimited free email support.

Sage Instant Accounts is great - easy to learn and understand, and cheap (I think it is circa £100)

The other good thing about Sage is it is upgradeable, without learning everything again from fresh.

We started with Sage Instant 9 years ago, and are now using Sage Line 50 Financial Controller (network multi-user version), which was the obvious upgrade path as the business developed

as mentioned previously i would go down the route of sage instant accounts. if you shop around you should be able to pick it up for less than £100.

excel packages are good also but i have used sage to produce draft accounts for grants etc. it is also a fairly universal product so training manuals etc can be picked up anywhere.
