    How often do you hear about someone losing a hand? I've only ever met one person who has lost a hand, but he was born like that.

    A leg loss is a bit less unusual, more likely when you're older if you're a heavy smoker (I know a guy who had his leg amputated for this reason, but on the plus side, he gets new automatic car every 3 years alongside his disability allowance - all courtesy of our taxes - and he continues to smoke )

    He didn't lose it then did he, unless he left it behind when he came out.

    I know loads of amputees (probably because of the circles I move in)
