Exclamation 2021 Update to Back-End (plus feature drop / discounts).

I've just rolled out the back-end update to the directory side of the MDD at https://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/

To see it in action, you'll obviously need to have a DJ account and a listing (or create a new one).

The update doesn't touch on the front-end design which desperately needs a redesign - that's on my to-do list. It does have some improvements, though... region and county selections are grouped by country which makes it easier to find what you're looking for, and the final listings themselves have a much more search engine friendly URL, for example what was https://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/listing?id=3410 will now be indexed as https://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/view/3410/eastern/cambridgeshire/ely/imagine-wedding-party-entertainment

Account passwords were not migrated - you'll need to do a password reset on the email address you previously used.

There are also a few small feature additions: -

    • Card payments for listing upgrades, with instant activation.
    • Instagram can be added to listings.
    • DJ Mark IDs can be added to listings. This will display your DJ Mark award on your listing, and link to your needadisco.com profile.
    • Holders of DJ Mark Gold awards or higher will have a ranking boost applied to their listing when displayed on region / county / town list results.
    • Holders of DJ Mark Gold awards or higher also qualify for a 10% discount on purchased upgrades to their listing on MDD.
    • MDD Forum supporters will also have their upgrade discounts automatically applied.
    • QR Code generation (and download) for uploaded docs that are made public (once approved).

I have not thoroughly tested this, and I decided not to have a beta test on a staging URL, as I'm fairly confident that it's OK and any problems will be minor. That said, anyone that thoroughly tests it and reports back any errors (or not) might get a free upgrade to their listing as a token of appreciation
