Errrr Martin, Max was regularly capable of posting advice which was at best well intentioned. It was often at odds with perceived wisdom.
That is as tactful as it's possible to be.

Briefly what I know---- from a third party I bumped into Badger is still (or was) active in Haverhill a year ago, Rice is running a successful expanding business out in the wilds of Norwich/Ipswich area--he tells me when we have an occasional quick chat.
