Well it turned out to be an eventful evening...not brilliant but certainly eventful.

I kept hounding the guests for requests and they started to flow. The best man enjoyed dancing with the kids...I cued the 'strictly come dancing theme' to come on next and made a joke he won the 2011 competition. The last hour and a half was ace...I was bopping away behind my stand. Car wash, I want you back, I'm a beliver worked well as did the Killers, Guns & Roses, Kings of Leon. Mambo number, Ricky Martin & Spice girls also did the trick.

The bride gave me a hug and said thank you. The groom did the same although he could hardly speak.

Gigs like tonight are a lot more rewarding, they're a challenge. I cracked and encouraged them to the core which resulted in a enjoyable evening. I've been playing tunes since 4.15ish through to 11.00pm...I'm shattered but enjoying a couple of beers before bed.

I was on my toes all evening - still haven't sorted out a back up mixer. I felt really bad and professional turning up with nothing should anything happen.

Oh dear, that's not good, did you get the balance of your fee? Just goes to show what lengths people will go to

By the way just to add I didn't mean 'did you demand the balance ?' I would have let it go myself to try and save the embarressed bride any more heartache.

I would be taking the people who paid you the deposit and the signed the contract to court.

False name on contact and they have cut there mobile number off..Its also to much hassle to take them to court as its hard to find who did this..Also i still made £100 from deposit and petrol money so i am not out of pocket..

Fair enough. Why did you have to leave the function and not the other DJ?

    Who decided?

If it had been paid in full beforehand. You'd be even better off
