By the way, I did ask the venue if they had Wi-Fi....they didn't.

I bought a 3G dongle several years ago and wouldnt be without it. It costs me £15 month for 5G of data which I have never come close to using but it has got me out of trouble on countless occasions.

It has saved me money when staying in hotels becuase I dont have to pay for wifi access, it enables me to get at information when I am customers sites and their firewalls prevent access to the sites I need and most important of all, it has been used as a backup on the rare occasions that I have lost my norml internet connection.

If I am travelling it allows me to use my laptop pretty much anywhere for proper email etc without fighting with a tiny screen on a Blackberry.

Once my new roadshow is ready it will be going with me everywhere so that if I need to download a track at a gig I will be able to.

Three also were doing a preloaded dongle with 12Gb allowance that was valid for 12 months for £79

I had a great gig last night.

It overran, so I didn't get in until just after 8pm, but was playing at just before 9pm, cake and first dance at 9:15pm, then straight through to 1am.

Just really appreciative people, lots of requests, singing and smiles.

At the end, lots of hand shaking and appreciation from everyone there.

As a wedding should be.

I find it much better DJing with a friend/family member or in our case best mate & business partner! Song selection can be much more thought out getting someone elses opinion and generally setting up and dealing with any problems and requests can be sorted out efficiently as I have the technical knowledge for the set up and Adam has more musical knowledge which works really well!
Sounds like a great gig also, well done

I agree with this, I Prefer DJing with my business partner / best friend. He has a better music knowledge whereas i'm more technically minded and do the setting up etc.

Amazing night for me. I actually enjoyed it and didn't want to come home. I was a bit out of my comfort zone because they liked LOADS of modern music but I eventually found my way.

The starlit dancefloor looked ace - thanks Ben, and it was certainly my best moodlighting attempt (on my own)

Last nights wedding was hard work it was a nice evening till i got home and the heavens opened got drenched landed up leaving half the the gear in the boot of car till this morning as it was raining so hard.

as it was nice most people were sat outside all night but venturing in for drinks and food.

Busiest the dance floor got all night was when I was playing some party stuff such as macerena, people started to drift away away about 9 and too be honest i was playing to a half empty hall, come 10 o clock i was playing to 10 people with the occasional trip to the dance floor by the bride and her bridesmaid, at 11 oclock i asked if i should stop or carry on to the agreed 11.30 finish but was asked to carry it was the longest half hour of my life.

at the end of the night the bride the groom the brides father and mother all said it was a brilliant night they hadn't expected many to dance they just wanted good music.
