We had to take the unfortunate step of removing 'Leap 48' as an advertiser here on the forum - a first for the MDD. Hopefully those that are still experiencing problems can reach a resolution.

Lee/Leap Creative: if you do happen to read this post please reply to the PM I sent a while back.

I'm sorry that others have not had the same experience as me, but I personally cannot fault their service at all.

Still waiting for my work wear
30 days now should of been 7-14 days
They said lost in the post by parcel force
They then said we will rush your order though and still waiting, although they said I will get them today or tomorr. The strange thing is they have used the same company that lost my parcel.
Think in other words it was never posted
Maybe it's a good thing removing them because of some bad service althou in general there products and good

Ditto. Flyers, Cards and Roller Banner all printed, designed and delivered promptly from 48Press. Perhaps there are things they do better than others, in any case, can't fault the service I have received.

I can't comment on how good the products are as I've never ordered from them. However, I don't judge a company on the things it gets right - companies should just get things right! I judge a company on their customer service and how they handle it when things go wrong. It's clear, to me and in my own opinion, that Leap are not very good in this respect - in fact, I'd go as far as to say I'm appalled by the stories of exceptionally poor service that I've read on here despite lots of members giving good advice to them in this very thread. It seems that when adverse situations arise, Leap are only responsive when threatened with legal action and that's really poor. And touting for new business when they seemingly cant fulfil their existing clients orders is terrible. It makes me wonder how many new customers are going to be disappointed and frustrated by the service they receive.

As always, these comments are my own opinion and have nothing to do with MDD Forum!

    No chance

This guy is taking on new business and not bothering with his current orders leaving prepaid clients out of pocket and non prepaid clients in the lurch without any form of communication which has resulted in a delays in promotion which costs money in bookings! Taking the mickey if you ask me.

Clearly not a reputable business or an honest individual and I stand by my comments at the start of this thread Scott.

Everyone who has been let down should at least get their money back straight away and not be messed about.
Definitely should they not be taking on new work if current work is not finished - thats just common sense.

No idea why the new successful orders they have taken on would get a as I see it as the total opposite.

Toby, I think you'll find it's pretty much just the embroidery orders that are outstanding. You don't know what the situation is, only what you've read here.

If you have a busy diary and then get a customer that isn't happy with a Wedding you do for them, does that mean you stop looking for business to carry on after the bookings in your diary are complete? No, you resolve the situation, but you still look for new work, as that's how business works.

I still don't understand your need to contribute to this thread, as you've never been and will never likely be a customer of Leap Creative / 48Press.

    I'll now...
    Scott.

As Toby has a very good knowledge of the design and print trade I would argue that his insight was a pretty valid reason for given his thoughts and opinions on the thread. No?

But Scott. People make informed choices about choosing a product or service provider from other people's experiences on consumer forums and trade forums just like this one. The difference here is that Leap had direct access to our membership here and it was some of our members that were badly let down. As members of this forum, we share our ideas, tips and experiences - whether good or bad - and that is simply what has happened here.

Also, I think your comments about doing a bad wedding are completely irrelevant in this situation. If a DJ does a bad wedding, how can he possibly resolve the situation afterwards? Offer a free disco next time they get married? Offer a discount for any future divorce party? Come on. Think about it! However, Leap still had the opportunity to put things right simply by carrying out their service and providing the products they had agreed to provide in the first place. They failed to do this. It's not rocket science. If something goes wrong you put it right. You don't ignore phone calls, texts and emails. The keep the customer informed all the way and not just bury your head in the sand.

Now, I think Toby does have every right to add his input - his opinion - to the discussion. That's what the forum is all about. We promote and encourage people to voice their opinions in a civilised and respectful manner without crossing any boundaries as set out in the rules of the forum and, to be fair, that's just what Toby has done. Just like you have every right to voice your opinion on the matter, and in any other discussion we have here. You have had a successful relationship with Lee and Leap and that's great. But the reality is that others haven't shared your experiences. That's life - it's what happens all the time. Don't take things to heart - it really is just business at the end of the day.
