No, the keyboard is for the HD2500. If I needed a keyboard for the software, it would be plugged into the laptop.

I was awaiting news that the HC4500 is now mapped in native mode for Virtual DJ and it works very well.

I've been testing it with just one of the new RCF cabs and I don't think I've ever had a system that is so quiet when nothing is playing. I've always had a slight mains buzz or hiss through the horns, but this is silent. Nothing.

I'm impressed with the sound so far, but then I've only had a play in the garage and front room!

As you can see the case is wasting a lot of space as there are no CD draws, only a 1U keyboard sliding shelf and the Pioneer mixer is quite heavy, so Steve is buiilding me a bespoke case, out of lighter material, so that everything fits and there's no wasted space.

If you ever manage to get to any of the DJ shows you can speak to the rep (Gary). He always listens to the customers and passes on any comments and suggestions to HQ. A number of innovations have been made from this feedback.
Do you really want me to play that?

I would like to know why there isn't an off the shelf 19" mixer case for Denon mixers.

I'm sure he can, but I doubt it's enough influence to commission a new product. Sylvio (he appears here from time to time) has more influence, and he has been bugged quite a bit for this, or a Denon effects unit. Nothing as of yet, although if you look at the recent releases, you can't really complain!

So, I've been out refitting a few new cables and bits and pieces today and now have 3 dedicated consoles.

The first one is the main console used for DJing only.

    Denon HC4500
    Pioneer DJM3000
    Denon HD2500
    Illuminated keyboard

    Second one is for karaoke/disco

    American Audio SD1 Player
    Numark 200FX
    DAC-2 controller
    Echo soundcard
    GLI
    2 x Shure PG58 UHF mics
    VGA splitter and cables

Third one is for quiz nights

    Very old battered case!
